Hothouse on H Street Reading Series

The Romeo and Juliet of Sarajevo

Theater Alliance is proud to present The Romeo and Juliet of Sarajevo as part of the 2012 Hothouse on H Street Reading Series. This powerful production tells the story of Admira Ismic and Bosko Brkic, star-crossed lovers of differing ethnic and religious backgrounds who attempted to flee the beseiged city of Sarajevo in 1993. The couple became a powerful symbol for the suffering of people on both sides of the conflict. This chilling, true story will be directed by former Theater Alliance Artistic Director Jeremy Skidmore.
