The Neighborhood

The most recent addition the H Street dining is Sticky Rice, an Asian fusion restaurant that offers traditional sushi plus innovative interpretations of other Pan-Asian classics. Not to be missed are the crispy and addictive tater tots, served in a bucket with side of spicy dipping sauce.

Napa 1015 has filled the fine-dining vacancy in the neighborhood. Napa features a $30 three course, pre-theatre menu. Chef Ron Allison changes the offerings of California-by-way-of-France style dishes daily with gourmet Mexican specials offered on Thursday evenings. Call 202.396.NAPA to reserve a table. Napa is located at 1015 H Street NE.

Food lovers around the country now know about the hip yet earthy, Belgian-style gastropub, Granville Moore's. Granville's chef Teddy Folkman recently beat celeb-chef Bobby Flay on a mussels and fries episode of Throwdown on the Food Network. (The ONLY Washington chef to appear on the show so far. Click here to hear him describe the event.)

Local favorite, the Argonaut, is a nautically-themed neighborhood pub with a full dinner and Sunday brunch menu. The Argonaut is now a family destination with a new kids menu and will feed the little pirates for free on Wednesday nights.

Tropicana in the 1000 block of H is a low-key spot serving up traditional Jamaican favorites for lunch and dinner.

For coffee, tea and Merlot, try Sova Espresso and Wine, it is just up H at 1359. Featuring a menu of delicious espresso drinks and a thoughtful selection of wine and beer.
The H Street Martini Lounge serves up an array of cocktails and small plates.

For pre or post show drinks, H Street offers a variety of choices. The Palace of Wonders is DC's most outrageous nightclub filled with side-show oddities. The Red and the Black is a cozy pub featuring live music serving a small menu of Louisiana favorites. The Rock and Roll Hotel is a two-story music venue offering live music nightly. The Pug is the quintessential neighborhood bar.

New restaurants, bars, lounges and art galleries are opening in and around the Atlas District monthly so be sure to check back here often as we will be adding venues as soon as they are open.
