Conceived by Joanne Schmoll
Directed by Jessica Burgess
Linda Dowdell, Music Director/Arranger
February 5 - February 22

Between 1920 and 1948, there were 178 women writing lyrics and music in New York's Tin Pan Alley. These women's songs have shaped the Great American Songbook as we know it — and yet we don't know the women themselves. Women like Kay Swift, Dorothy Fields, Dana Suesse, and Billie Holiday have all made a huge contribution to our musical heritage. Through persistence, talent, and sheer love of the music, they broke down countless barriers, opening doors for future women artists.

Sit back, relax with delicious light fare in a fun cabaret atmosphere and be delighted by some of the best performers DC has to offer!
