Colin Hovde

Artistic Director – email Colin

You know Colin from many a Theater Alliance show in the past few years, but he was also with the company way back in 2005 when he first moved to DC. Colin's directing work has been seen across town in a number of different companies and venues. Most recently Hum, and How To Disappear Completely and Never be Found right here at Theater Alliance.

Nathaniel Mendez

Associate Artistic Director – email Nathaniel

Nathaniel Mendez was born and raised in Houston, TX where he studied at Texas Christian University for Dance and Movement. He is also an alumni from North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Drama. Nathan created his own movement company, OneBody Works. He has showcased his pieces in North Carolina, New York as well as Washington DC. His focus towards directing lead him to I See You, a OneBody Works production that was featured at Capital Fringe Festival. Nathan's acting career also brought him to the DC area when he performed in No Rules Theatre Company's adaptation of Peter Pan: The Boy Who Hated Mothers. He has also performed or worked on several Theater Alliance productions, How To Disappear Completely and Never be Found, HUM, Reals, and The Night Before Christmas. In the Spring of 2012, Nathan joined the team at Theater Alliance as Associate Artistic Director, and looks forward to bringing his artistic talents and expertise to the DC Theater community.

Camille Kashaka

Communications and Marketing Director – email Camille

Camille is a soon to be recent graduate from American University's Arts Management Masters program. She also studied Theatre Administration at Howard University. Camille’s background is in stage management and has worked around the city at a number of theatres including Adventure Theatre MTC and the Washington Savoyards. Camille is super excited to work with such wonderful people with a wonderful mission at Theater Alliance!

Katie Ryan

Education and Outreach Director – email Katie

Katie is a Rhode Island native and American University graduate.  She also works as the Youth and Outreach Coordinator at The Theatre Lab and as the co-founder of Pamoja Products, a non-profit company that provides a global market for alternative income projects in East Africa.  Katie is thrilled to join Theatre Alliance.  She sees her position as Education and Outreach Director as an opportunity to instill in the next generation of artists a desire to make positive change in their communities, both socially and politically. 

Kat White

Literary Director – email Kat

Kat White is thrilled to take on the role of Literary Director at Theater Alliance after completing her MFA in Playwriting at Catholic University. Originally from Florida, Kat is incredibly anxious to start reading new work and collaborating with the amazing artists and residents in the DC area.
